The first National Western was held in 1906 in a tent on the present day show grounds. The National Western Complex now covers 80 acres and is only 35 minutes from Denver International Airport. Attendance is approximately 630,000 annually with visitors representing all 50 states and more than 30 foreign countries.

SOUTH WEST CHRISTMAS EQUINE FAIR
The Fair hosts top names and displays in the Western Morning News Main Arena and the South West Horse Demonstration Ring. WESTCOUNTRY GAME FAIR
10,000 dedicated countryside enthusiasts visited the Game Fair. An amazing day out for anyone who is interested in the countryside with a whole variety of entertainment from longbow demonstrations to working gun dog competitions to ferret racing and clay shooting.
